How old was King Arthur when he died?
According to all myths, stories and traditions, King Arthur was in his 60’s, he began his quest for unifying Britain around his early 30’s, and he either likely died of natural causes, OR, more likely, died in a battle against the Saxons in his 60’s. In all likelihood he probably went to sleep and then woke up dead; the body can only take so much punishment before it finally gives. If you are constantly riding around on a horse, swing a sword two and fro, using a spear and shield, lifting heavy objects, and you do this nearly every day for 30 years straight, Heavy physical exertion is not gentle on a person’s health; part of the reason people live longer these days is because life is not as physically demanding, plus, there’s better knowledge of nutrition.
