How r the respiratory and circulatory system related?

0

In a human, the respiratory system, i.e., the lungs exchange gases that are brought to it by the circulatory system. In the lungs, oxygen is added to blood and carbon dioxide is removed. The circulatory system drives the movement of blood through the lungs. The oxygenated blood from the lungs is sent to the rest of the body by the circulatory system through the arteries. At the capillaries, the oxygen moves out of the blood to the tissues and carbon dioxide moves into the blood. The blood then moves into the veins, and goes back to the heart. The right side of the heart pushes the blood through the lungs, and the left side of the heart pushes the blood through the rest of the body. This is the most important discovery in physiology, and it was made by William Harvey.
