Avastin, used in combination with IV 5-FU–based chemotherapy, is administered as an IV infusion (5 mg/kg or 10 mg/kg) every 2 weeks (q2w) until disease progression, per study protocols. The only Avastin dosages proven to provide a survival benefit are 5 mg/kg IV q2w with IFL (studied in first-line MCRC) and 10 mg/kg IV q2w with FOLFOX4 (studied in second-line MCRC).
