How significant was humanism for high renaissance art?
It was pretty significant. Although, not in the same way that it would be later –because other things were more important in high renaissance art: form, content, structure, patterns of portrayed items. . . I personally believe that this time period of art was highly influenced by asian painting –which utilized multiples of objects and high depth layers in one piece. Hope this helps.
