How soon after conception will a pregnancy test read positive?

We know that it takes 7-10 days for a baby to implant and then another few days for the hCG to show up in the urine and be detected on the HPT. Now the more sensitive the test the better the results. Most women have a luteal phase (time between ovulation and period) of 12-16 days so that’s why we say it’s a two week wait. That is also why tests say you can test as soon as 4 days prior to your period. They are assuming that you ovulated about 10 or 12 days ago. A blood test can detect the hCG much sooner, they claim it can be as soon as 7 days past conception. Keep in mind that you may not conceive as soon as you have sex. It;s when you ovulate and when the sperm actually reaches the egg.. not an instantaneous thing. Sperm can live up to 4 days max in the right conditions so if you had sex 4 days prior to ovulation you could still conceive with the sperm that was waiting to meet the egg. So 4-5 days after conception would be waayyyy too soon. You need to wait at least a few days before
