How the Greeks knew about the outer planets before they were “discovered” this century?
The planets were named AFTER the Gods not the other way around. The Greeks did not know about any other planets except our own.More importantly as stated above the planets have the names of ROMAN gods not Greek ,admittedly the Romans had the same Gods but gave them different names :- Mars for Ares , Neptune for Poseidon , Jupiter for Zeus , etc.
