how to answer interview questions
Its not the answer you give, but how you do it. Making a weakness sound like a strength usually sounds like a dodge or a prepared answer, and I always hated those. You know, like “I work too hard” or “I am too meticulous”. I don’t think I ever hired someone who gave me BS in the interview. I say be honest about the thing you would like to improve about yourself (related to work). If you don’t have one, take a look in the mirror. Part of my job as a manager was to help my employees improve themselves, and if I know what to watch out for I can do a better job. Also, team building is often about matching weaknesses & strengths, so being honest can only help you. I asked every employee htis question every year as part of their written performance evaluation. In an interview, this question is really about seeing if you have any self-awareness. But don’t give a huge list, just one thing you would like to improve (and have a backup ready in case you need two).
