I'm going to study this at uni starting in september! There are two ways. The first is by finding a vet practice willing to take you on and train you who will then send you to a college on day release. This way you get paid as you learn and i think it takes about 2 or 3 years. You don't need A levels for this, but its probably a good idea to do them anyway to have something to fall back on. The other way is by going to uni. This way you need biology at A level and at least one other pass in another subject, also Cs in 5 GCSEs including maths, science and english. Uni courses last 3 or 4 years and you do at least 70 weeks in a work placement at a vets during this time. As well as becoming a qualified vet nurse you'll also have a degree! Now that you know what you want to do, you should try and get as much work experience in a vets as possible as this is one of the entry requirements if you go uni, and it will also help you to find a vet willing to take you on later.
