How to create a structure geometry in STRUDS®?

0

In STRUDS®, the building structure geometry can be idealized as Plane Grid (Floor Plan), Plane Frame, Plane Truss and Space Frame. The Plane Grid, Plane Frame and Plane Truss geometry can be drawn by the user graphically by defining basic components like slab, beam, column and elements (members). In case of Plane Grid, the user can draw the floor plan graphically by defining slab panels, beams and column positions. In case of Plane Truss, a standard library of various types such as Fink, Pratt, Howe is available and the user can select the type of truss he wants or can draw his own truss geometry. In case of Space Frame, the user has to draw the floor plans at different levels in the building and locate column positions. STRUDS® automatically creates the 3D space frame from the data of floor plans and column location /properties.
