By very exactly following these 11 steps: 1. Disconnect the device from the computer and disconnect the DC cable. 2. Shutdown the device by pressing the Settings button for approx. 8 seconds. 3. Connect the DC cable. 4. During boot, press and hold REW, FWD and CH2 buttons 5. In the Debug menu that is displayed on the device, select the Restore Harddrive option and stroke from left to right, a In Progress message is displayed. 6. When the harddrive is formatted you will be returned to the Debug menu. 7. Select Quit and stroke from left to right and the device shuts down. 8. Connect the device to your computer with USB cable. 9. Start the Editor software 10. When the device is mounted on your computer, you will be asked to upgrade your firmware, say Yes to this upgrade. 11. When the upgrade is completed, eject the device from the computer before disconnecting the USB cable.
