HOw to fix simple battery alarm clock (not quartz)?

0

Hi i have a simple battery bell alarm clock.t isnt a quartz clock (as in purely mechanical) my problem is that the second hand has stopped moving, and hence it no longer keeps time. The alarm mechanism works fine. I opened it up completely and cant figure out the movement mechanism. All i see is a coil, with a metal bracket going through it. there is a gear with a wheel at the bottom that sits in between the two bars at the end of this metal bracket. This gear drives other gears that go on for the clock. If i could just figure out the movement mechanism i should be able to fix it.
