Download one of the free anti virus programs that are available off of the web. Install it, update it and run it. That should take care of the virus problem. If you have malware/spyware problems too, a good anti malware program will get rid of that stuff too. Following is a list of sites that offer these programs, that are free for personal use. My preferences are: Avast for anti virus, and Malwarebytes and Spybott for anti malware. Be advised that it is never a good idea to run more the one anti virus program so that you do not generate conflicts. But always run at least two anti malware programs. In most cases, one will find things that the other missed. All of the following are free, and work very well. Note: It is best to run at least 2 anti spyware programs, but never run more then 1 anti virus to eliminate conflicts. You can download free antivirus software as mentioned in the answers here. However, not all of them are the same; some needs certain configurations to fit your PC components. Doing this can be painstaking so I recommend asking an online pc support. You can either chat or call them.

First download Malwarebytes Anti Malware to your desk top then download SUPER Antispyware - run the first one in a full scan, then do the same with the other, this should get rid of anything nasty on your computer, and both programs are FREE...and free is good! I also run CCleaner on my pc, it keeps your computer clean. You do need to find a reputable antivirus, I hear Avant or something like that is pretty good, and is also free. I hope this helps you!  more
