How to give a military haircut?
You use the longest guard usually a #3 or #4 on the sides from hairline to right where the head rounds, then you use a #2 or #3 to about half way from the hairline to the side middle with a souping outward motion, then a#1 or #2 about half way up to the half way mark of the prior guard then if you want, you use open blade, no guard (lever on the clipper side up=.5) or #1 around the hairline up to half of the prior guards end.
