The Calgary Police Service is bound by the Alberta Police Act, which requires all complaints to be in writing and signed by the complainant. Information packages outlining the complaint process are available through Professional Standards Section at 403-206-5904 or you may send your signed letter of complaint to: Calgary Police Service Professional Standards Section #811 133 6 Ave. S.E. Calgary, Alberta T2G 4Z1 or by fax to 403-265-9870 Compliments can also be sent to the Professional Standards Section. It will then be sent to the appropriate areas as well as Chief Rick Hanson.
