Skunks can be found in yards throughout America. There are a few easy steps you can take to keep them out of your yard. First, skunks hate the smell of ammonia. You may want to soak some old rags with ammonia and put them in dishes around your yard, just be careful the ammonia does not get onto the grass, this can cause the grass to burn. Next, make sure all your garbage is cleaned up and that the garbage cans are secure. Finally, you can bury some chicken wire under your fence, which keeps the skunks from wanting to dig under the fence and go into your yard.
