How to Make Microwave Chocolate Crisp Bars

These fabulous bars are like Rice Krispie bars to the 10th power! They’re chocolaty, crisp, creamy, and crunchy all at the same time. The original recipe was a 5-ingredient recipe from my book About.com Guide to Shortcut Cooking. But when I make it at home, I add two ingredients: milk chocolate chips and peanut butter. So to make Microwave Chocolate Crisp Bars, first gather your ingredients. You’ll need 5 cups cocoa flavored crisp rice cereal, a 10-ounce package of large marshmallows, 1/4 cup butter, a 12-ounce package of semisweet chocolate chips, 1 cup milk chocolate chips, 1 cup mini marshmallows, and 1/3 cup peanut butter.
