How to play chords on bass?
Your standard four-string bass has the same strings as the top four strings of a guitar (EADG). So if you’re looking for how to play a chord on bass, an easy way is to find that same chord chart for the guitar. Just take the frets that are indicated on the E, A, D and G strings from that chart, and you’re pretty much good to go. If you ever get in a total rut, remember that the letter at the beginning of each chord represents the root of that chord, also known as the bass note. If nothing else, just thump away at that note. Hard to go wrong.
