These dark spots may appear in the place where you set a damp dish towel, or dropped a spot of butter. Eventually these spots will disappear, but these marks are frustrating and mar the look of your counters or other surfaces. Fortunately, fixing this problem is simple and if properly cared for, your granite can be beautiful and low maintenance. Use a mild detergent to clean any grease or oil spots.
