How to remove clear nail varnish from a carpet please?

Really depends on your carpet. Is the material natural or synthetic? Natural (wool mostly) material won't suffer from a acetone treatment, however - the dye might disappear. Try first on the back of the carpet to see if there's any discolouration. If this is a fitted carpet, try at some hidden corner if the colour changes. In case of synthetic material, do the same - the nail varnish remover might not cause too much harm. If you have a cut pile and the varnish hasn't penetrated too far down, you can even try carefully to "shave" off some of the top.Don't try this with a loop pile, though...  more
