You are deploying the custom package to users of a Windows 7 operating system. In all the above cases, the default Microsoft Links like ‘Microsoft Websites’, ‘MSN Websites’, etc are not deleted. These can be eliminated upon removal of user’s existing favorites. This is because of the new feature called ‘Local Packs’ in Windows 7. Local Packs provide customization for specific region. Content such as Windows themes, Internet Explorer Favorites, and RSS feeds may be updated when the Local Pack is activated on an end user’s computer.
