How to set up a L2TP VPN connection?
• Open the Control Panel • Double click ‘network Connection’ • Go to Create a new connection (on the left of your screen) • The New Connection Wizard will pop up, click next • Select ‘Connect to the network at my workplace’, click next • Select the ‘Virtual Private Network’, click next • Enter Liberty VPN when you are asked for a company name • If a Public Network Connection pops up select “Do not dial the initial connection”, click next • Now it will ask you for an IP address or Host Name, enter the IP provided to you in the email, click next • Check the box to add a connection to your desktop, click finish • Go to Network Connections in the Contol Panel, right-click on connection created and choose properties. • Then go to “Networking” Tab and where it says “Type of VPN” select “L2TP IPSec VPN”. • Then go to “Security” Tab and click the button that says “IPSec Settings”. Then enter the pre-shared key for authorization “secureserver”.
