How to train a beagle to be quiet and not pull on the leash?
Beagles are stubborn stubborn stubborn!! My pet trainer friends have said that Beagles are the hardest to train!! As far as barking goes, do not get a bark collar. Barks collars do not help the situation, they are a temporary fix! Once you take that bark collar off, you will go back to the barking problem again. When she barks you need to get her attention, talk to her, get her excited, so she is not concentrating on what she is barking at anymore and then treat her. If she sees a car driving passed and starts barking, go up to her all excited and say something like “OHHH SCARY CAR SCARY CAR, ITS A SCARY CAR ITS NOT GOING TO HURT YOU” but like i said do it happy, so she doesn’t get negative feelings about the car anymore. As far as leash training, you might want to first try a gentle leader, let me tell you they work WONDERS!!!
