From Kuala Lumpur Train Station, You can either stop in Penang or Alor Star. Take a ride to Kuala Perlis or Kuala Kedah jetty an off you go in the ferry to langkawi Island. Better still, take a less 45 minutes Air Asia(dirt cheap) or Malaysia Airlines(slightly cost u more but confortable) direct flight to Langkawi. Save journey!
