How to update the Award BIOS on Advantechs single board computers(SBCs)?
Advice ============= It is not recommended to update BIOS on your single board computer if the system is working properly. Update BIOS only when you meet the following situations: *System is not stable. *System is not functioning properly. *System needs a new BIOS to fix a bug or problem. *System experiences compatibility issues. If you are not familiar with BIOS update process, please contact an experienced engineer or Advantech support staff before updating. Any mistake in BIOS update will cause your system fail to boot and may void the warranty. BIOS update Procedures: I. Prepare startup disk ===================================== 1. Go to Advantech Tech Support web site and download the following files: (a) Award BIOS Flash Utility (e.g. AWD-V789.EXE) (b) The new BIOS file that you want to update Note: Please check the model name of your single board computer, then download correct BIOS file from Advantech tech support web site. 2.
