How War Did The French People Support The Revolution?

0

When there is a great change in a country, people react in different ways. People had divided into groups: supporters of the Revolution, counter-revolutionaries (who were against), and people who didn’t feel strongly either way. In my essay, I am going to discuss different aspects of Revolution and whether French people supported it or no. The sans-culottes were great supporters of the Revolution. They usually were from middle classes, but their simple clothes made them look different to upper classes. They had a huge influence on the government, because there was a huge amount of sans-culottes, and if they rebel at the same time, the government will have problems. Sans-culottes were actually the people who caused the revolution. There were two main demands: to be allowed to vote on elections and to have fixed prices on food. They were the people, who stormed the Bastille on 14th July 1789 and had stopped Louis dissolving the National Assembly.
