The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) contacted those residents in closest proximity to the Douglas Creek lands through one-on-one in person or telephone interviews. In addition, MMAH received input from Haldimand County through the Municipal Provincial Federal Liaison Committee.The Ministry obtained the assistance of the Caledonia Community Committee to work independently, as community representatives, to provide confidential advice to government on the design and delivery of the assistance. The Committee provided its advice to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
