How well can i live in cuba with $1,200 canadian per month?
It does depend where in Cuba. Also how – you cannot just decide to go and live in Cuba. There are only two ways to get residency – through work, or marrying a Cuban. Some people live in Cuba on short-term visas. As a Canadian you could stay six months on a tourist visa, then pop out and come back to start afresh. In Havana, most of that would go on renting a place – the cheapest places I have ever found were CUC 600 or 700 a month. There are cheaper, I am sure, but I doubt they a great. If you marry a Cuban with their own place, that might work out cheaper. There is an article on the web about staying in Havana on $50 a day – but prices have increased so I suspect that you’ll need more now. Outside Havana, you might be able to do better.
