Clinical studies involving over 800 patients with a variety of chronic pain conditions showed that pain relief with Ultram (Tramadol) 250mg per day in divided doses was comparable to five daily doses of acetaminophen 300mg with codeine 30mg (Tylenol with Codeine #3), five daily doses of aspirin 325mg with codeine 30mg, or two to three daily doses of acetaminophen 500mg with oxycodone 5mg (Tylox).
