How were servants punished in the Victorian times?
Victorians times were very hard for servants if they stole then they were sacked no reference meant no job in any other houses. Many of the young servants were also sexually abused and when it was found out they were thrown out this would mean that children were left in orphanages or looked after by relatives, but many would have ended up in the workhouse where they were treated like the scum of the earth they were given menial tasks to perform and hard lab our , the Victorians on one hand were very strict God fearing and on the other decadent sexual abusers there were more child prostitutes than at any other time in history they were great hypocrite’s preaching about morals when they lacked them themselves. The victorians were very curious and also believed that women were no to be taken seriously , they did not let their wives have their in inheritance the men were in charge .
