A. The tracks were recorded on a Pro Tools 002 system through a Demeter VTB-201s preamp and Apogee converters. No EQ was used at all in the recording of the basses. In mixdown, light compression was used, with a conservative 3:1 ratio. The compressor is a software based McDSP CB-1. The tone controls were wide open on all the basses and in the case of the active basses, all EQ controls are set flat. The tracks are mastered with McDSP software.
