How Were Transport Problems Addressed During The Sydney Olympics?
Sydney hosted 2000 Olympic Games but before that Australia had its share of hosting Olympics when same was arranged in Melbourne in 1956. Sydney’s transport system is made up of trains, buses and ferries. (Sydney Transport). State Transit Authority of New South Wales is the official transport authority operating in Sydney with close to 1900 buses. However, following Atlanta Olympics example, New South Wales government formed Olympic Roads and Transport Authority (ORTA) to coordinate all the transport during Olympics. (ORTA).
