How will childrens language develop through oral storying, utilising creative media to represent their own experiences?
The Mead Infant School is a popular three-form entry school and is currently judged ‘outstanding’ by OfSTED. The school has approximately 360 children aged from 3–7 years old. A resource base is integrated within the school for deaf children, an increasing number of children from ethnic minority groups and a number of children with special educational needs. The school provides a warm and happy atmosphere for pupils who all share the motto ‘Proud to belong’. Mead Infant School is new to Creative Partnerships and is looking to develop the relationship between oral ‘storying’ and visual representation of children’s experiences through creative media.
