How will contracting be different with USAID’s outsourced procurement?
While USAID will work closely with the USAID | DELIVER PROJECT to determine the methods to provide and the product specifications, the project will be responsible for tenders, negotiations, and awards, as well as issuing purchase orders and administering the contract. Together with USAID, the project will plan delivery schedules and monitor shipments. • How will suppliers of the project-awarded contracts be paid? Invoices will be submitted to and paid by the USAID | DELIVER PROJECT in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract. • Will the project manage quality assurance (QA) activities for oral contraceptives and intrauterine devices (IUDs)? Family Health International (FHI) will continue to oversee QA activities for oral contraceptives and IUDs through their existing agreement with USAID.
