How will Easton address vehicle trips and traffic congestion?
Easton is designed to reduce the need for automobile trips and promote alternative modes of transportation such as walking, biking and transit. In addition, Easton Place, the community’s high-density urban core, will be built within walking distance of the Light Rail station located near Hazel Avenue at Folsom Boulevard, and major bus lines. A second Light Rail station adjacent to Easton along Folsom Boulevard between Hazel Avenue and Sunrise Boulevard is currently in the early planning stages. With its planned network of roads, bikeways and trails that provide connectivity between residential and employment centers, Easton will be a true multi-modal community.
