HOW WILL HIGH QUALITY AND STATEWIDE CONSISTENCY BE ACHIEVED IN A DECENTRALIZED ORGANIZATION?
VISION 2000 will give more authority and decision-making power to the districts. However, along with that authority will come accountability. Policies and standards will be determined by ODOT’s Executive Management Team, comprised of the Director, the Chief of Staff, the three Assistant Directors, the Chief Quality Officer, the Chief Legal Counsel, the Deputy Directors of Communications, Legislative Services and Economic Development, the eight Central Office Divisional Deputy Directors and the twelve District Deputy Directors. The team will set department goals, initiatives, and objectives and create the framework for holding each member of the team accountable for meeting agreed upon standards. The team will also annually evaluate the department’s Strategic Management Plan.
