First Question: Are you taking the test in school or from a recruiter to join the military. As for an answer to your question. Simple. Do not think of it as a test, because it is not. It is more like a scale. There is no Go / NoGo on the ASVAB. The test ask many questions in many different topics from computers to Cooking to Automotive. The point behind taking the test is just the placement test. If you were to be called during a Draft of the military if there will ever be one, or if you decide to join the military, they will look at your ASVAB score(s). I say scores and not score, because like I said, each category of questions is scored. Yes you may see and be given an overall score, but that is just for your own use. In the military you have to have an ASVAB (later you will see it refers to your GT score) score high for some computer related jobs, and lower for other jobs. The higher your score overall will allow you to have a larger selection of jobs you can pick from in the milita
