How will Paul Newman New Homes ensure that the new access point on Derwent Road will not cause more traffic problems?

Paul Newman New Homes’ transport strategy would ensure that traffic delays on Derwent Road would be minimised as far as possible. Parking restrictions are proposed to be implemented around the secondary access junction. This would allow improved passage along Derwent Road and would reduce delays. Furthermore, to offset the reduction in car parking provision along Derwent Road, parking spaces would be provided in a more appropriate location within the proposed development, in close proximity to the secondary access, and a pedestrian crossing would be provided to enable pedestrians to cross safely to the primary school. We are also looking into providing traffic calming measures to control vehicle speeds on the approach to the proposed pedestrian crossing, as well as the access to Greenleas Lower School.
