How will the 2006 Bryan Comprehensive Plan Update be developed?
IPS Group, a local planning consultancy firm, was chosen as the lead consulting firm for the 2006 Bryan Comprehensive Plan Update. A Comprehensive Planning Advisory Committee (CPAC) was appointed by the Bryan City Council in September of 2005 to oversee and work closely with the consultant team on the various aspects of the Plan. The CPAC consists of 20 individuals and includes community residents and leaders, representatives of local public and private agencies and organizations, as well as members of various City boards and commissions and the City Council. Together with the consultant team and City staff, CPAC will meet monthly to provide insight and suggestions on the various aspects of the Plan Update.Beginning in early spring of 2006, the CPAC will begin seeking public input through community stakeholder interviews in focus group meetings and a series of town meetings.
