How will the Da Vinci Science Center help a young person in my life succeed on the PSSA tests or equivalent examinations?
There are several ways in which the Da Vinci Science Center will help all young people succeed in these exams. First, the Center’s programs and exhibits are developed in accordance with Pennsylvania state educational standards and are in concert with required classroom curricula. Second, the Center’s Da Vinci Teacher Leader Institute works to help participating elementary teachers meet and exceed state education standards in science. Third, the Da Vinci Science Center is an active member of the Math and Science Partnership of Greater Philadelphia (MSPGP), which teams the National Science Foundation (NSF) and LaSalle University with 46 school districts, 13 higher education institutions, and four non-profit agencies – including the Da Vinci Science Center – and is dedicated to improving secondary mathematics and science education in the greater Philadelphia area and the surrounding region.
