How will the designers and building contractors be selected to build or refurbish the schools?
There will be a competitive process to appoint the providers such as architects and builders, who will form a partnership with the council to deliver our BSF plans. Providers will be periodically reviewed and, if necessary, open to competition to ensure that we continue to receive value for money. The contractor awarded Building Schools for the Future may wish to sub-contract some elements of the project. In preparation for this possibility we are collating a list of interested providers which will be given to the company that is awarded the contract.
