How will the Express Lanes laws be enforced?
State troopers will visually enforce use of the Express Lanes. If you are not following the Express Lanes laws or if you are an unauthorized user an officer will pull you over. When the Express Pass slider is down, red will display on both sides of the pass to show the driver and law enforcement that the driver has changed their status carpool. Also, as vehicles with transponders travel under the electronic signs, lights behind the signs will show law enforcement the status of each transponder. If the Express Pass slider is pulled down, enforcement will check if the driver is carpooling.
