How will the MOU with Reliance Industries Ltd toset up a mega SEZ in Haryana help the state ?
The project is expected to give renewed impetus to industrial growth in the state. The mega SEZ will provide world-class infrastructure such as an airport, railway lines, roads, power, hospitals, shopping malls and is expected to fetch an investment of around Rs 40,000 crore. In addition, it is expected to fetch the state an additional revenue of Rs 10,000 crore annually and generate employment for more than 5 lakh people, out of which 25 per cent jobs would be reserved for the youth of Haryana. The SEZ would be on a scale and standards consistent with the international norms on the pattern of SEZs in China and Dubai.
