How will the plan impact forest licensees with harvesting rights within the plan area?
The plan provides information that is intended to assist licensees. It also builds on the commitment of local recreation interests to work with licensees to ensure that forest development activities proceed in a manner that works for forestry and benefits recreation. There are a number of very good opportunities to design forest development plans that will facilitate winter recreation and be a direct benefit to local and visiting recreationists as well as the local economy. Some examples include: improved ski runs and snowmobile access on the east slope of Westridge and on Crystal ridge, and improved snowmobile access in Allen Creek .
