How would the new World Series of Poker Main Event champ, Joe Cada, do on High Stakes poker?
Mori Eskandani: Right now I think he would suffer. But Joe Cada five years from now would be a different person. It would be like asking how would someone that’s fresh out of college basketball do going up against an NBA pro; how would he stand? Well, he’s going to have to play above the rim. Basically, that’s what it’s called, I believe. He has to sharpen a lot of skills and a lot of moves that he doesn’t have in his arsenal to be able to compete with the pros. If you come into a high stakes cash game of this size, nobodies lying down. These guys have all seen it all, done it all, and have so much experience with what to do with anybody’s weakness. They’ll expose them, they’ll take advantage of them, and if you have any, you’re in trouble. So somebody like Joe Cada, that won the World Series of Poker, he would have weaknesses in cash games that would only get better with time and experience.
