How would you compare Buddhism to other eastern religions like Taoism or Daoist?
Answer Dear Emily, Thank you for your questions. The most important thing about Buddhism is that it is first and foremost targeting on the realities of the impermanence of life. When one can realise this truth, one can learn not to be affected by sudden changes in one’s life and this is applicable regardless of time period. This is not the first time I was asked about a comparison between Buddhism and Taoism (or Daosim). Buddhism deals with the realities of life and teaches non-attachment. It talks about the nature of suffering and how to overcome it while Taosim devotes its training to being in unity with nature. Once again, Buddhism DO NOT teach reincarnation but rebirth. Reincarnation involves in a permanent entity (e.g. a soul) which leaves a body at death and enters another during birth.
