How’s everything at Camp Shogun holding up?
Me and Keir [K-Tee] are a good team. I’m a bit of an all-over-the-place kind of artist type guy. I sign some tunes, do some DJing, and make some tunes, whereas Keiren is a bit more regimented and ties everything together. The ‘Aztec’ tune is probably going to be one of the biggest tunes of the year. It’s been no.1 in the d&b charts for two weeks and Grooverider made it his ‘Rewind’ track of the week two times in a row. It’s been over three years in the making. Take us back to how Shogun Audio all began? I started the label three and a half years ago. My DJ career was starting to take off so I thought I had to start my own label. It was all very easy going at that stage, I didn’t have massive great plans for it. Gradually it expanded, everything got a bit better, I had some members of staff working for me and then I got people like Alix Perez on board.
