I am doing a project on Credit Card fraud detection using data mining. Where can I get Data sets for it?
The big Credit card companies have their own ‘test’ data sets – HOWEVER I doubt very much if they would ever let that out into the ‘wild’ (it would reveal all too much about the internal formats of the data structures they use) My only suggestion would be to create your own ‘dummy’ database … You could start by taking data from your own past Credit Card bills – then to extend the data set, do a series of ‘copy&paste’ via a ‘randomise’ function.
