James,  One of the quickest ways to get your teeth straightened orthodontically (with braces) is a system called 6 month smiles.  6 month smiles is also called short term orthodontics.  This type of orthodontics was developed years ago, but popularized in the last ten or so.  Many adults are looking for straight teeth, fast.  Short term orthodontics is only designed to straighten crooked teeth or close gaps betweeen front teeth.  It is not designed to fix bite problems, TMJ issues, severe overbites or underbites, etc.  Most other systems like invisilign and traditional orthodontics can take 2-3 years.  The average correction time for "6 month smiles" is about 4-8 months.

You might want to look in to Invisalign because you only have to wear them for 3-6 months but nobody really can tell that you have braces on.
