I am receiving numerous duplicate claim denials, but only one batch of electronic claims were submitted. Is Medicare duplicating our claim submissions?
Medicare does not duplicate the submission of claims, we process them as they are received. If your batch is being submitted more than one time and the process is not being generated on your end, contact your software vendor about the duplication of batch submissions. If the software vendor is unable to locate the reason why the batches are being duplicated, then contact the Medicare Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) department by calling 1-866-488-0546.
