I cannot get Surround sound, or 5.1 Channel sound to work?
5.1 Surround Sound support was improved in Firmware Versions VS160109 and later. If you have an earlier firmware version than 109, you will need to update the firmware to activate the 5.1 newer options. If you have 109 or later firmware, pressing the AUDIO button on your remote will bring up your options for available audio streams. MPEG is supported by all channels, and will provide PCM (Stereo) only. If your channel has an AC3 audio stream, you can select this, and then you can select the COMPRESSED output option. This will provide full 5.1 channel surround sound. Please remember surround sound will only be available if transmitted by the broadcaster. If you select AC3-Compressed mode, and you have no sound, then the broadcaster is not sending a suitable sound stream, and you will need to revert back to PCM mode.
